Myanmar’s traditional culture is a combination of folk and royal culture. Buddhism has been part of Myanmar culture since the first century AD and has been combined with non-Buddhist beliefs. The most prominent manifestations of Buddhist culture are the magnificent architecture and sculptures of the temples and monasteries of Myanmar, especially the temples and monasteries of Pagan, Mandali, and Yangon.
The official language of the Myanmar people is Burmese. But courses in schools and universities are in both English and Burmese.
