You are picked up before 8.00 a.m. from your residence in Kandy and driven straight away to Sri Muththu Mari Amman (kovil) Hindu temple, the tallest and most colorful Hindu temple in the country.
Then your second destination is the Dambulla cave temple, the largest and the best-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka. The caves were converted into a temple complex by king Walagamba during the 1st century. There are about 153 Buddha statues and murals, which cover 2100 square meters. You have to spend around one and a half hours covering the entire temple complex.
In the evening you will visit Sigiriya, the world's eighth wonder, which contains huge walls, water canals, security guard rooms, natural stoned arches, mirror stone, and world-famous Sigiri paintings. It is an isolated rock, Kingdom more than 200m in height. You have to spend more than two and a half hours. Stay overnight in Sigiriya.
You are taken to Polonnaruwa, the capital of Sri Lanka, for about 200 years. Finally, the kingdom was transferred to Dambadeniya, and Polonnaruwa was concerned by Indian king Kalinga Magha. You can visit the archeological museums, royal palace, audience hall, swimming pool, sacred quadrangle, shiva devale, pabalu vehera, rankot vihara, Kiri vihara, Buddha statue at lankatilaka, Buddha figures at gal vihara, etc. It usually takes 05 to 06 hours to visit the entire kingdom in Polonnaruwa. After seeing Polonnaruwa, you are dropped off in Kandy.
