The adventure of your trip begins today with a 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m) before your breakfast. You will admire one of the most beautiful air routes in the world.
After enjoying the first breakfast in the Mountain, you will walk through a beautiful pine forest, following the trail north up the valley of Benkar. Then, cross the bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and go on passing Chumoa to Monjo, the entrance to Everest National Park.
As mentioned earlier, Namche Bazaar is the undocumented capital of the Khumbu region facilitated by ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a colorful market, and a few government offices.
Leaving the Namche Bazaar at a slow pace after breakfast, the trails ascend through rhododendron and thinly populated villages. This trek section in your journey can be considered the best scenic day. While descending to the Dudh Kish River, enjoy the views of mountain tops like Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, and more.
Enjoy breakfast! You will start trek passing through forests covered with various trees – birch, conifers, and rhododendrons. Today's journey is rewarded with magnificent views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. The trail dips down to Debuche, crosses the Imja River, and will take you to Pangboche. The trail moves ahead towards the Imja Valley and Lobuche River and finally begins climbing up to Dingboche.
Dingboche is a beautiful village with an array of fields enclosed by stone walls to protect barley, buckwheat, and potatoes from the cold wind and grazing animals. You will have restaurants, bakeries, and shops to explore there. Or, you may take day hikes to either Nagarjun Hill or Chukkhung Valley for great views of Makalu, Lhotse, Charlotte, Tawache, and Ama Dablam.
Walking closer to Everest Base Camp every day, leave Dingboche for Luboche after breakfast. The trail starts with a gradual climb to Duglha at the end of the terminal moraine of the Khumbu. Then you will climb up a steep trail to Chupki Lhara, continue to the Khumbu moraine, and find yourselves facing several great peaks - Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal. The trail then eases off as you follow the valley to Lobuche, the last overnight stop before reaching your ultimate destination.
Today, the day you have been dreaming of for so long, you will take the trail to Everest Base Camp passing through Gorak Shep Lake. You can see the thinly populated village with guest houses situated on the ridge of the lakebed. Continue the trail leading to Everest Base Camp.
Though you have summited the Everest Base Camp your trip is not over yet. Today you will trek to Kalapathar - the vantage point of the Khumbu region from where you will have a magnificent 360 panorama of the mountains. With no surprise, you are at the highest elevation of your entire journey and the view of Everest and other peaks is unparalleled. You will take pictures, enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama, and then return back to Pheriche.
After having breakfast, you will trek down from Pheriche back to Namche Bazaar passing the hill covered by rhododendron and juniper trees. In this forest, you may come across colorful pheasants and mountain goats. Also, you pass the familiar sights of Tengboche. After, a couple of yours will reach the beautiful Namche Bazaar.
Today you will be heading toward the Lukla after breakfast. As the trail is steeply downward, walk carefully as your shaky legs constantly battle the rocky terrain. After crossing the bridges over Dudh Koshi, the trail becomes level and smooth.
Last day in the Himalayas, you will catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free and you may like to do some souvenir shopping in Kathmandu.
There will be a dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of your journey.
After an exciting time with you for a couple of weeks, it's time to bid farewell. Our representatives will transfer you to the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu as per your flight time.
