Podgorica is the capital of Montenegro located in the center of this country, at the intersection of several important road directions that lead from the sea to the continental part of the country. It is the main administrative, political, economic, traffic, scientific and educational – cultural center of Montenegro.

The city is close to winter centers in the north and resorts in the Adriatic Sea. It offers a wide range of discoveries to visitors through cultural heritage, archaeological sites, monuments, museums, and nature in a national park, active holidays, views of canyons, rivers, and bridges, as well as enjoyment of traditionally produced food and wine.

In Podgorica, there is one of the largest and most beautiful vineyards in Europe – ’’13. Jul Plantaže’’, covering 2,300 hectares, and all who visit the Šipčanik basement have the opportunity to experience the impressive ambiance of a unique wine cellar in Europe, enjoying the unforgettable smells and tastes of Montenegro.

Visit: Independence Square – main city square.
Visit Bokeška street – A street with nice cafés and an urban look, a favorite place for young people to go out.
Visit: The Millennium Bridge – A visual identity of the city in a length of 140 meters, decorated with specially designed piles at 57m.
Visit: Sastavci or Skyline – The bridge on Sastavci is the oldest in Podgorica, located in the heart of the capital, at the confluence of Ribnica in Morača. According to historical facts, it was created even during Roman rule.
Visit: Sahat Kula – Clock Tower and Stara Varoš – Old Town. Old Town, located in the heart of Podgorica, keeps a rich historical and cultural heritage. It was the core of Podgorica during Ottoman rule (1474-1879) in the urban and architectural forms of the city, customs, and way of life. The most beautiful example of architecture remaining from the Turkish period is the Clock Tower, which is a symbol of Podgorica. It still dominates the area of Old Town with its height. The great attention in Old Town belongs to the mosques. Among them, the most famous is Skender Čauševa – the Old Mosque dating back to the 15th century.
Visit: Centre of Contemporary Art – Kruševac – Former winter castle of King Nikola I Petrović. It is surrounded by Park Forest, which is unique in the summer months art and exhibition scene and is one of the favorite places of fellow citizens. There is also the church of the Holy Dimitrije.
Visit: The Temple of Christ Resurrection – the third largest Orthodox temple in the world. The significance of the Temple is also the visits of the high representatives of the Orthodox cosmopolitan who visited Montenegro for the first time in history (Patriarch Vartolomey, Patriarch Vaselensky, who reviled the foundations of the temple, blessed Patriarch of Moscow and Orthodox Archbishops).
Visit: Church of St. George – dates from the IX-XI century; belongs to the oldest active worship of the Christian chapel in the area of Montenegro and beyond.
