Special Grand Morocco Tour from Tangier 11 Days

After a delicious breakfast in your Riad, today’s adventure will start! After 3 hour drive, we will stop to visit The Roman Ruins at Volubilis and the magnificent village of Moulay Idris Zerhoun. After lunch head to Meknes to visit Bab Almansor, Elhdim Square, and Sehrij Sewani. Then take a 1-hour drive to Fes. In Fes, you’ll stay in an amazing Riad in the heart of Fes El Bali.

Today in our Morocco private tour, you will spend the morning exploring the ramparts of Fes, seeing the Tomb of the Merinids, visiting the 14th-century Bou Inania Medersa and the excellent museum with its collection of illuminated manuscripts and ceramics. You will have lunch in the Medina then explore the fascinating cobbled lanes of the Medina, richly decorated Attarin Medersa, and the Neijarin Fountain. View the medieval tannery, the mosques, the Fondouks where the donkeys and their owners gather, and the infinite variety of merchandise from handcrafts and edible goods to copperware and pottery. Spend the night in Fes.

After breakfast, on the 4th day of our Sahara Guided Tour, you will travel to Ifrane, the Swiss mountain village, and the cedar forests of Azrou where you can wander amongst the famous Moroccan monkeys in their natural environment. You then pass through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the only tunnel in Morocco, and through the Valley of Ziz with miles of palm trees and high cliffs. Your excursion will take you deeper south to the Sahara Desert where you will stay the evening at a Kasbah alongside the Erg Chebbi sand dunes.

Here in the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the largest in Morocco, enjoy the panoramic scene of black volcanic rock on the plains, the bright blue sky, the green palm trees, white salt beds, mirages of water, and golden shifting dunes. Visit Rissani for the weekly markets where Nomads come to sell. Pass the lake in Merzouga to see the flamingos. Have lunch with our Berber family and friends before beginning your camel trek into the beautiful Erg Chebbi dunes. You will spend the evening in a bivouac (camp), enjoy a Moroccan dinner, and sleep in a traditional Nomad camel hair tent.

Here in Merzouga, you’ll be able to Visit The Nomads and learn more about their lifestyle, have a tea break with them, and play with their kids. Later we will head to Elkhamlia village for a Special Kind of music and dance called Bambaras or Gnaoua, also there we will try the delicious Berber Pizza or Medfona as locals love to call it. In Merzouga, you have the chance to try some real adventure if you’re a fan of ATVs.  Later stay in the hotel beside the sand dunes of the Sahara.

Wake up to a spectacular sunrise in the Sahara Desert and enjoy breakfast. Bivouac trekkers will return by camel and continue to Todra Gorges and Valley. You will travel through some of Morocco's wildest terrain in a 4x4 to reach the Dadès Gorges and for the energetic, have the opportunity to trek into the fabulous Gorges. Stay the evening in Todra Gorges.

After breakfast, our Morocco tour starts with a walk in the stillness of the mountains and appreciating the isolated lifestyle of the Berbers. Everywhere, you will discover a new scene of daily life. Departure from your hotel set out towards Ouarzazate through El Kelaâ M” Gouna known for its Rose Festival. You will have the opportunity to appreciate the fresh oasis and palm plantations, numerous Kasbahs, and the landscape of the Atlas Mountains. Spend the night in a Riad/hotel.

In The African Hollywood ( Ouarzazate) you can visit the local Movie studio known for many famous movies filmed there and visit one of the best-preserved Kasbahs in Morocco: Aït Benhaddou. Crossing the high Atlas Mountains towards Marrakech, we can stop to visit the Main residence of Elbacha Elglaoui in Telouat, a beautiful And historic Kasbah. You can have many stops before reaching Marrakech.

Following breakfast, and on the 10th day of our Morocco travel, you will have a full Day Guided Tour of Marrakech including a horse-drawn carriage ride around the city ramparts and lunch. You will visit the Koutoubia Minaret, the Majorelle Gardens, the 16th century Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Dar Si Said Palace museum of jewelry, kaftans, leatherwork, carpets, chests, and doors.
