“Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek is a refined version of the usual 14 days EBC trek. You stay overnight in some of the best lodges and enjoy luxury trekking while relishing breathtaking Himalayan mountain views.”
Stay overnight in the luxury lodges during the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek. First, not many trekkers enjoy a luxury trek to the Everest Base Camp because of its high price. So, if you want something different and comfortable in the Khumbu region, we highly suggest Everest Base Camp Luxury Trekking. This trek is perfect for all travelers, whether you are experienced or new.
You walk up to the base camp of Mt. Everest. It is the highest mountain in the world. The Everest Base Camp Luxury Trekking goes through small mountain settlement areas resided by Sherpas, Lamas, Rai, etc. What makes this trek unique, apart from the luxury overnight stay, is the helicopter return from Kala Patthar.
Yes, you read it right. At the end of the trek, we send a helicopter to pick you up from Kala Patthar and drop you at Lukla. The views during the helicopter flight from EBC are out of this world. Every participant gets full window seats to enjoy the ride to the fullest. You can opt for the Everest Luxury trek if you cannot go on the long trek to EBC.
The Everest Base Camp luxury trek of 13 days offers dramatic views of the snow-capped mountain from both land and air. It is one of the best treks to enjoy the aerial panorama of the Himalayas. As you trek through the dense forests of the Sagarmatha National Park and picturesque villages, the gorgeous sceneries unfold themselves one by one in front of you.
From lush valley views to the dry, barren alpine landscape, you can witness a wide range of scenery during the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trekking. Some of the mountains seen during the trek are Everest (8,849 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Makalu (8,463 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,188 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Mt. Pumori (7,161 m), Mt. Baruntse (7,162 m), etc.
The Everest Base Camp luxury lodge trek begins with a thrilling flight to Lukla (2,860 m). From here, you trek to Phakding village (2,610 m). The trail then goes to Monjo (2,835 m) and ascends through dense forests of rhododendron & bamboo. Crossing multiple bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, you steeply ascend to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m).
You spend a rest day here and hike to the Hotel Everest View (3,962 m). The trail then drops down to Dudh Kosi valley at Pungki Thanka. Following an uphill route through the lush forest, you reach Tengboche (3,860 m), and the next day begins walking towards Dingboche (4,410 m). The trail to Dingboche village ascends along with terraced fields and meadows.
You spend a rest day at Dingboche village and hike to Nagarjun Hill at 5,100 m. From here onwards, you leave the tree line behind and trek to Lobuche village (4,910 m). The mountain gets prominent, and the views are surreal. Your next stop is Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) via Gorak Shep (5,181 m).
You spend that night in Gorak Shep and hike to Kala Patthar (5,644 m) early the following day. This viewpoint offers a magical sunrise and 3-degrees views of the snowy cliffs dominating the sky. Our team will pick you up at the Kala Patthar on the same day and fly you to Lukla. The treks end here, and you fly back to Kathmandu another morning.
The Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek in Nepal is moderate. The trekking route is diable enough for new trekkers to join. Thanks to many modern comforts available during the Everest luxury trek, this trek is relatively easy to do than the usual EBC trek.
The terrain demands 5 to 7 hours of walking each day. You’ll be conquering steep uphill & downhill routes too. Likewise, a handful of rugged, rocky sections along the way.
Our Everest Base Camp luxury trek itinerary has two acclimatization days, which makes the journey less risky to altitude sickness. We have a constant rise in elevation. Therefore the trekkers get ample time to adjust to the altitude.
Drink a lot of water & other fluids to keep yourself hydrated and lower the risk of altitude sickness. Do not consume alcoholic drinks while ascending. Look for symptoms like difficulty breathing, insomnia, headache, nausea, etc.
We recommend our guests have 4 to 6 weeks in hand before the beginning of the EBC trek. In this time, you can prepare your body to walk long hours and build up your stamina. The trekkers do not need to undergo advanced training for Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek.
You can enjoy the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek to its fullest from March to April and October to November. These are the best months to have an undisruptive view of the Himalayan mountains. The trail thrives with trekkers from around the world, so the ambiance is fantastic.
The weather remains stable with low chances of precipitation. The bright and breezy days are perfect for treks. Similarly, the neither too hot nor too cold climate makes the journey pleasant.
Monsoon/summer seasons make the trek very challenging, so we recommend avoiding this time of the year. Likewise, early is also fantastic for trekking if you love winter landscapes. But you have to be ready to endure temperatures below zero degrees Celsius and flight delays.
Because it is a luxury trek, we spend nights in some of the most lavish lodges on the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trekking route. The rooms are fancy and equipped with modern amenities like wifi, a hot shower, a dryer, a kettle, etc.
The rooms will be clean and have enough space to walk around. You get comfortable beds with soft sheets and blankets, along with a heating pad, pillows, etc. Likewise, the toilets are attached to the room.
We have meals in the lodge dining area. You get a variety of delicious dishes for breakfast, lunch & dinner during the trek. You can choose whatever you like to eat. There will be meat items and bakery items available too.
The best meal during the trek is the staple Nepali meal called dal bhat tarkari. It is a combination o rice, lentil soup, veggies/curry, pickles, and other side dishes. This dish will fill you and give you lots of energy to walk.
We have both group joining and private trek available for Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. You can trek with your group or join one of our groups. During the trek, our friendly guide and porters accompany you.
You can also do a private luxury Everest trek with us if you want. We will design the best itinerary for you to suit your needs and departure date. Our booking process is quite simple, and you can book the trek easily in a few steps.
Trek with your kid to Everest Base Camp with us for a smooth venture. We have led many families to the base camp of Mt. Everest successfully. We are experts in organizing family EBC treks that involve kids, which makes us a perfect travel partner.
Our policy for underage trekking or trekking with a kid is very flexible. We see the health and fitness of the child. Whether their fragile body can withstand the challenges of the trail or not. For more information, we request you to contact us.
Everest Base Camp is an extreme area. The medical facilities in the region are bad even though the trekking route is very commercial. We are not implying that you will need medical assistance during the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trekking, however, we also cannot guarantee a 100% safe trek because everybody reacts differently to changes in altitude.
We advise you to get travel insurance that covers emergency air evacuation and medical bills. Nepal only offers minor travel insurance to foreign travelers. Therefore we recommend getting travel insurance in your home country.
