Nuwara Eliya and Ambewela Tour:
Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka’s highest town and a favorite hill station during British colonial times. The town is still touted as ‘Little England’, an illusion maintained by the presence of the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, a racecourse, the Victoria Park, and excellent trout fishing in nearby lakes and rivers. You will find the temperature can drop close to freezing at night and log fires are a common feature of the many Tudor-style houses. New Zealand farm rears purebred Friesian cows and maintains a pure line of cattle. To maintain the milk quality, the cows are provided with a rich diet and sterilized water. Excellent health care is given on a 24 hr basis. Here one can see the largest grasslands of Sri Lanka and is also a part of the Ambewela farm, which manufactures dairy products, such as milk, cheese, and yogourt, and could be seen by visitors.
Upon your arrival at Bandaranayake International Airport in Katunayake and you will be met by one of the representatives who will take you to Nuwara Eliya. Check into the hotel and relax in a few hours then you will have started the Nuwara Eliya city tour to take magnificent sightseeing views before your overnight.
