In Kathmandu, we shall visit four UNESCO world heritage sites in a single day. If you have more time, we might also visit the oldest Newari City of Bhaktapur and the marvelous town of Patan. While you can visit Kathmandu throughout the year, the city is especially vibrant during New Year, Dashain, Tihar, Holi, Loshar, Shivaratri, and other festivals.

After fully exploring the beauty of Kathmandu, our next destination is Pokhara. We drive or fly to this stunning city with magnificent mountain views. One can witness the range of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchhre in the beautiful Lake of Phewa. There are many freaky caves, beautiful waterfalls, cultural heritages, and museums we shall explore in a day.

Moreover, Pokhara is a hub for adventure freaks with games like Paragliding, Bungee, mountain biking, hot air balloon, rafting, and more. Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival

Altitude: 1400 meters
As soon as you land at the airport, our team shall be there to assist you. Soon enough, we will be driving towards Thamel in a private car. You will be introduced to the crew in the evening, and the guide will brief you about the journey. Together, we enjoy a delicious Nepalese dinner in a beautiful restaurant.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing

Today, we visit many UNESCO world heritage sites around Kathmandu. Our destinations are Swyambhunath and Bouddhanath stupa, the very holy sites for followers of the Buddhist religion. Next, here is Pashupatinath, the temple of Lord Shiva. We also visit Kathmandu Durbar Square which used to be the home to the kings of Nepal. Here, you can see the Living goddesses' homes. Then, we get to Thamel for the night.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara

Altitude: 800 meters
Duration: 7 hours Drive
Today, we woke up early for a drive to Pokhara after breakfast. We shall drive in a private vehicle or a tourist bus as per your budget. The seven hours of the journey along the Trishuli Riverbank and lush green hills will be equally exciting.
Note: You can also opt for a 25-mins flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu. This saves you a lot of time to visit more heritages around the city.

Day 4: Full day Pokhara Valley Sightseeing

In the early morning, we drive to Sarangkot for the sunrise view above the Lake. Then, we get back to the hotel for breakfast and then enjoy boating in Phewa Lake. After visiting Tal Barahi, we have other destinations such as Bindabasini Temple, Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, and Seti River George. We will also visit a museum and waterfall before driving up to the World Peace Pagoda. From the top of the hill, you can see the entire Pokhara valley glittering before your eye. Then, we get back to the lakeside.

Day 5: Drive back to Kathmandu

After a beautiful day in Pokhara, we trace our way back to Kathmandu along Prithivi Highway. In the evening, you will have some time for souvenir shopping. Later, we all gather for a farewell dinner and share our memories of the trek.

Day 6: Final Departure

Today is free for last-minute shopping for souvenirs or gifts for your family, friends, or relatives for you until your departure flight/drive or to commence any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. Do I be physically fit?
This Kathmandu Pokhara tour is suitable for any kind of people from children to old people. Not any pre-experience is necessary.
Will somebody come to pick me up at the airport upon my arrival?
Yes, Peregrine Treks' representative will be there to greet you outside of Terminal Hall. He will be displaying the Peregrine Treks' name card with your name on it. After that, you will be transferred to a pre-chosen Hotel.
What sort of accommodation can I expect on this tour?
Here are so many different categories of hotels. It's up to your demand. In our itinerary, We provide three-star hotel accommodation for the entire trip. The hotels have all the facilities of 24 hours hot and cold water, attached bathrooms, dining rooms, bar, internet facilities, etc.
Which is the best season for this trip?
Spring (March to May) and Autumn (Sept. to Dec.) are the best seasons for this trip when the weather is clear and pleasant. However, if one wishes to avoid crowds and enjoy nature then this trip is favorable during the winters (Jan to Feb) as well.
What are the weather and temperature like?
It is all depending on what time of year you are traveling; during winter (Mid December to February), it gets colder at night and warmer during the day. The temperature could be as high as 22 deg C during the day and 4 deg C low early in the morning and at night.
From March to May it is warm and sometimes a bit hot and the weather stay perfect. The average temperature during this time of year is 25 deg C.
During the months of September to early December, it is always warmer providing the perfect time to travel. The average temperature during this time of year is 20 deg C.
You will be in air-conditioned vehicles during the tour and all hotels are fully air-conditioned.
