5 Days Climbing Kilimanjaro via Marangu Route:
Climbing Kilimanjaro via the oldest route on the mountain gives you an amazing experience of setting your footprints on the first trail used by the first Kilimanjaro explorers. Also, the Marangu is the easiest route on the mountain famously known as the “coca-cola” route. Enjoy your hiking and trekking tour.

After breakfast drive to Marangu gate with your picnic lunch box. This is where you start your ascend to the first hut, Mandara hut (alt 2700m) where you will have dinner and overnight. The walk takes 3 to 4 hours through the rainforest.
After breakfast ascends to Horombo hut. The walk takes 5 to 6 hours on the moorland where by will have the best time enjoying the best scenery of the Mountain. You can also view both peaks (Kibo and Mawenzi). Dinner and overnight at Horombo hut (alt. 3720m).
After breakfast start the ascend to Kibo hut (alt.4750m) the walk takes 5-6 hours Completing the moorland to the alpine desert.
CONT: Until Kibo, you will have to prepare for summit ascending at the time around midnight.
At the time around midnight start the hike to the summit of Kilimanjaro, which takes 7 to8 hours to reach the summit (Uhuru peak 5895m) after a short celebration descend to Kibo hut for short rest thereafter proceed to Horombo hut for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast descends directly to the park gate where you will catch a waiting car ready to the drive back to the hotel in Moshi. Lunch will be prepared at Mandara hut.
