Mera is a 6476m tall snow-capped mountain peak in Sagarmatha National Park, Nepal, and is a suitable peak to climb for those looking for a short but very adventurous climbing trip. Summiting this magnificent peak requires a 14-day trip, starting from Kathmandu, along with an experienced mountain guide and the appropriate climbing gear. This climbing trek allows you to explore the typical villages of local ethnic groups such as Sherpa, Rai, Magar, and Gurung. We will also pass all the beautiful terraced fields and flowing mountain rivers before reaching Khare, the last settlement of the region.
We think the views of Mera peak are some of the best and most glorious trekking peaks in the world. Mera peak has 3 summits and the highest is our objective at 6476m. We get off the beaten Mera Peak trail, crossing the Hinku valley and lodging in rarely visited villages, spending time high above the main trail, gathering extra acclimatization and conditioning surrounded by stunning scenery and unique valleys.
Mera Peak climbing is a mountain in the Mahalangur section, Barun sub-section of the Himalayan, and administratively in Nepal Sagarmatha Zone, Solukhumbu District. At 6,476 meters (21,247 ft) it is classified as a Trekking Peak. It contains three main summits: Mera North, 6,476 meters (21,247 ft); Mera Central, 6,461 meters (21,198 ft); and Mera South, 6,065 meters (19,898 ft), as well as a smaller “trekking summit”, visible as a distinct summit from the south but not marked on most maps of the region. The region was first explored extensively by British expeditions in the early 50s before and after the ascent of Everest. Members of those teams included Edmund Hillary, Tenzing Norgay, Eric Shipton, and George Lowie. Book Nepal tour and enjoy your trip.
