Kathmandu

Kathmandu valley is the capital of Nepal and one of the biggest cities. The valley comprises three medieval towns- Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, and Lalitpur. All these towns represent distinct art, architecture, and culture.

During the tour in Kathmandu, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the largest stupa in Nepal, Boudhnath Stupa, and the famous Monkey Temple. It is also known as Swayambhunath in the local dialect. Boudhanath Stupa’s premises boasts Buddhist spirituality.

You see monks and visit monasteries. In the middle of the bustling city, you’ll experience instant peace inside the stupa. Similarly, from Swayambhunath, the aerial view of Kathmandu is stunning.

Likewise, the tour takes us to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, a significant pilgrimage site in Nepal. The temple is situated at the bank of the holy Bagmati river. The temple complex has many small shrines and cottages.

We also visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. All of the durbar squares present different architecture and art. We learn a lot about the ancient royal residences of Nepal. There are palaces, courtyards, museums, shrines, and temples in the durbar squares.

Chitwan

In Chitwan, you’ll be in the palm of the wilderness of Nepal. Chitwan National Park is one of the major national parks in Nepal and was also regularly visited by kings/queens & their guests back in the day. We most probably enjoy an overnight stay in a beautiful resort in Chitwan.

This tour part is about getting close to wildlife and exploring dense forests. During the tour, we do jungle safari, bird watching, elephant bathing, etc.

If you want to be extra adventurous, we highly recommend canoeing (guided by experts). The jungle safari in Chitwan National Park will let you see exotic animals like a one-horn rhino, royal Bengal tiger, deer, wild boar, langur monkeys, bears, etc.

Likewise, you also get to see a wide range of birds. The national is home to numerous vegetation and flowers too, so it will be a fantastic tour.

Lumbini

Lumbini is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. It’s a holy city and a pilgrimage site. Many monasteries around the city were built by different countries to represent their faith in Buddhism. The legends and the history of Lumbini go back to 623 BC when Lord Buddha was born.

We’ll explore the Puskarini pond, where Buddha took a bath, and visit the Ashoka pillar. This pillar commemorates the visit of Emperor Ashoka before the 3rd century. We also visit the Maya Devi Temple and museums. And end the tour with a peaceful walk in a holy garden.

Pokhara

We end our Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Family Tour in Pokhara. Pokhara is called the City of Lakes and is very much loved by travelers. The city carries a perfect balance of modernization and nature hand in hand. Pokhara is also the gateway to the world-famous Annapurna region.

Likewise, this city is also home to other outdoor activities like paragliding, mountain biking, hiking, ultra-light flights, etc.

Your visit to Pokhara lets you explore the tranquillity of Phewa Lake and the stunning sunset at its shore. You visit Sarangkot from where the jaw-dropping aerial view of Pokhara is seen along with snow-capped Himalayan mountains like Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, and Annapurna.

For tourist sites, there are many caves and lakes around the city that we can visit. Some famous tourist sites in Pokhara are Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, International Mountain Museum, and World Peace Pagoda.

You can add meditation, spa, or yoga sessions to your tour if you wish. This may cost you additional charges.
