Entebbe is a town in central Uganda, about 36 kilometers (22 miles) south of the capital city, Kampala. This town is surrounded by water on Lake Victoria Peninsula. Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa, and Entebbe sits on a peninsula on the lake’s northern shores.
During the British occupation of Uganda, the city of Entebbe had been the country’s capital, and presently, the president of Uganda resides here.
Entebbe is the only town in Uganda with an international airport; therefore, all visitations from overseas start and end in this very town. In case you wish to take an Entebbe tour, read the following to know what to do there and how to make the best of your time in Entebbe.

While on the Entebbe tour, you can visit many spots around the city to make your adventure in Uganda unique and memorable. These spots include (but are not limited to):
There are many ways to navigate around the city. One example is the “Matatus” or public minibusses that travel in set routes. The other is the boda bodas, which are widely available throughout the country and are cheaper than metered taxis. Airport taxis are available to get you from the airport to your hotels.
Boat rides are also available if you wish to cruise the greatest lake in Africa or visit the Ssese Islands. These rides can take you on adventures like fishing, bird watching, and chimpanzee viewing on the islands and can provide you with quite relaxing experiences.
Entebbe is never dry. Since it has a tropical rainforest climate, there is heavy rain throughout the year. The weather is almost always humid and warm, and the temperature rarely drops below 20 °C. The temperature varies so insignificantly that there are no real hot and cold seasons. That being said, the drier season spans from June to August, with July being the month with the fewest wet days.
The best time to visit Entebbe is from June to September, although it is not that different.
