Alanya tours & packages

    Top Attraction

    • Alanya Castle

The Alanya Castle stands on a rocky peninsula high above the city. It is Alanya’s most recognized landmark and offers a stunning panoramic view of the city.

The rubbly remains of this historic castle do not offer much at first sight. But these remains tell captivating stories of generations past – of pirates, sultans, and enslaved people. Unfortunately, there are no places at the castle where you can learn about these stories. Therefore, we recommend you study the castle’s history before visiting it.

    • Red Tower

The Red Tower is one of Alanya’s most famous tourist attractions. Standing at the edge of the port, this 33-meter-tall tower originally functioned as a watchtower. However, it now serves as an ethnological museum and a popular observation deck.

Inside the Red Tower, you can learn about the history of the tower and the Ottoman Empire by viewing the historical weapons and the antique collections on display. However, the tower’s main selling point is its spectacular view. The 85 steep steps are challenging to climb, but the breathtaking views from the top are well worth the effort.

    • Dim River

The Dim River (Dim Çayı in Turkish) is one of Alanya’s most popular picnic spots. Many restaurants and tourist facilities surround it. You can have lunch on a raft or in a mountaintop wooden pavilion. Some restaurants have water parks with sun loungers, while others have water slides right into the river.

Dim River’s water is cold, rarely rising above 15 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it is a perfect place for those who want to escape Alanya’s sun for a while or who wish to challenge themselves by diving right into the cold water.

    Tourist Transportation

Alanya has an efficient public transportation system, making it easy for tourists to travel in the city. Buses are numbered and equipped with air-conditioning systems, and most have disabled-friendly accessibility features. In addition, you do not have to wait for a long time to catch one.

When Is the Best Time to Take a tour

Alanya is a Mediterranean town with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The best time to visit Alanya is between June and September if you want to catch some sun. However, you might want to avoid visiting in August, as it is the hottest time of the year.
