Bridge of Peace: In 2010, the Tbilisi City Council of Georgia commissioned a prominent Italian designer to build an amazing and beautiful bridge to connect the old and new parts of the beautiful city of Tbilisi. The individual creates them, and the French lighting has named the project in praise of life and peace, and this bridge of peace is one of the most beautiful sights of Georgia.
Gergeti Trinity Church: This church is different from all the churches you have seen in your life because “Trinity Church” is located on Mount Kazbek at an altitude of 2160 meters above the sea. This church is located in a completely different position on top of the mountain. It is surrounded by vast and beautiful nature, making it a very spectacular sight. The Trinity Church of Georgia was built in the fourteenth century and is now one of the main tourist attractions of Georgia.
Martvili Canyon: One of Georgia’s most important tourist attractions is its pristine and unique nature. Nature in every corner of Georgia especially surprises you. The Martvili Canyon is the name of one of the most beautiful places in Georgia. This valley is 40 meters deep, and when you enter it, you will see a unique image of the sky. Stone City Uplistsikhe: The stone city of Uplistsikhe is one of the world’s largest and oldest stone cities. Uplistsikhe is an ancient city in Georgia, formed from the carving of rocks. The town is built on a high cliff on the west bank of the Metkvari River and is one of Georgia’s most amazing tourist destinations.
The stone town of Uplistsikhe has the oldest dam, pharmacy, bazaar, amphitheater, old church, various temples, prisons, and hundreds of other spectacular archeological that have attracted tourists from all over the world to Georgia.
Mtskheta Old Town: The old town of Mtskheta is one of the most important cultural and historical attractions, including the sights of Georgia. Until the sixth century AD, it was the capital of Georgia. One can imagine what a vast historical and cultural treasure it has in its heart due to its strategic location. The Svetitskhoveli Church is one of these treasures, which dates back to the 11th century and has magnificent religious architecture.
The church, the gate, the bell tower, the fort, and the castle are important parts of this spectacular church. The tomb of the founder of Tbilisi, “King Vakhtang Gargasali,” and some of the most important kings of Georgia are located in this church. Samtavro Church and the Holy Monastery of Jvari are other buildings in the town of Mtskheta reminiscent of medieval architecture.
Narikala Castle: Narin Fortress or Narikala Tbilisi is one of the most spectacular and historical places in Tbilisi, which can be seen from almost everywhere in the old part of Tbilisi. The construction of this fort (which is a brick structure) dates back to the fourth century AD and coincides with the founding of Tbilisi. The castle is built on a steep hill between the sulfur baths and the botanical garden, and next to it, there is a beautiful park called Rike park, where the statue of Georgia’s mother is located.
All customs and traditions in Georgia are a combination of old traditions in this country. The use of warm tonnage colors such as red and orange, stone walls, cobbled streets, and many other things remind us of Georgia wherever we see them. It is interesting to know that there are more than 150 types of food in Georgia, which are mainly influenced by other Asian food cultures. The use of dairy products with food is also common in Georgia.
